Major corporation Aitken Spence introduces special technology from Saarland in Sri Lanka
Hülzweiler/Colombo. Thanks to a newly concluded strategic partnership with one of Sri Lanka’s largest trading and energy corporations, Nanopool GmbH is massively expanding its presence in Asia. The special surface-refinement products from Hülzweiler in Saarland will in future be used on a large scale in Sri Lanka across many areas of life and work. To this end, a comprehensive cooperation was agreed this week in the Sri Lankan capital Colombo with Aitken Spence, one of the market leaders in tourism, logistics and power generation, and its joint-venture partner EcoCorp Asia.
Nanopool managing director Sascha Schwindt is convinced that the collaboration opens up great opportunities for both sides. “With annual revenues of more than one billion dollars, Aitken Spence is exactly the strong and trustworthy partner we wanted in order to establish our state-of-the-art technology in Asia for the long term.” The protective system of liquid glass developed by Nanopool – harmless to people, animals and the environment and 500 times thinner than a human hair – can be applied to the most diverse surfaces such as metal, wood, ceramics, plastic or textiles. It keeps away dirt, bacteria, rust, mould and scratches. This reduces cleaning and replacement costs, optimises production processes and guarantees hygienic conditions, for example in kitchens or hospitals.
The chairmen of Aitken Spence and EcoCorp Asia are certain that this “pioneering technology” will quickly become a success story in Sri Lanka and other Asian countries: “We always try to invest in the future.
